Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital and Research Centre is a large charitable multi-speciality hospital at Erandwane in Pune, opened on 1 November 2001. It was established by the Lata Mangeshkar Foundation together with the Jnana Prabodhini Medical Trust and is named after the Marathi theatre actor and classical vocalist Deenanath Mangeshkar.
The hospital has over 900 beds on a six-acre campus and offers tertiary care across a wide range of medical and surgical specialities, including a cancer research centre and a blood bank.
Its critical care services include more than 65 ICU beds with a central monitoring system.
The hospital established the first human milk bank in Pune and runs public health awareness programmes, including educational films on diabetes.
The campus also has a 3,000-capacity air-conditioned auditorium used for medical education and public programmes.
